Mahima Chaudhry starred in several successful films in the late 1990s

Mahima Chaudhry, born on September 13, 1973, is an Indian actress who primarily worked in Hindi films. She gained fame with her debut in the film "Pardes" (1997), directed by Subhash Ghai, for which she won the Filmfare Award for Best Female Debut. Her performance in the film alongside Shah Rukh Khan was well-received. After her debut, Mahima Chaudhry starred in several successful films in the late 1990s and early 2000s, including "Daag: The Fire" (1999), "Dhadkan" (2000), and "Lajja" (2001). She garnered praise for her performances in these films, particularly for her roles in "Dhadkan" and "Lajja." However, her career witnessed a downturn in the mid-2000s, and she appeared in fewer films. Despite this, she continued to act in both Bollywood and regional cinema, including Bengali and South Indian films. Outside of her acting career, Mahima Chaudhry has been involved in various social causes and charitable activities. She has also made appearances on television shows and reality programs. As of my last update in January 2022, Mahima Chaudhry continues to remain active in the entertainment industry, albeit with fewer film appearances compared to her earlier years
